(Dedicated to my friend Ms. Doyle, a true "paloma de paz" ) Paloma de Paz By: Noah Eaton 1/31/04 First giveth daylight, then comes spring, there the baby's love is still water in the sieve. Little birds that can sing and won't sing, only God knows they must be made to sing. And I choose to believe, when the eclipse recedes, "let what is lost go for God's sake", there I'm willing to place my stake. "Every one in his own house, and God in all men's." "Everything in its season, and turnips in Advent." "Soft and fair goes far, white hands are no offense." With your tongue, anointed in olive wine, with your demure, cordial mask, worn upon face divine, turn my head, lead Gods children to the canonizing light, You're beyond incandescent, you make the evenings bright and the mornings white, Paloma de Paz, Paloma de Paz... We know the truth, more by heart than by reason, you know love is no ideology, one needs to govern like the four seasons, "If the sky falls there will be pots broken, if the sky falls, hold up your hands, if the sky falls we shall catch larks," if the sky falls, I'll catch you in my hands... With your tongue, anointed in olive wine, with your demure, cordial mask, worn upon face divine, turn my head, lead Gods children to the canonizing light, You're beyond incandescent, you make the evenings bright and the mornings white, Paloma de Paz, Paloma de Paz... You teach the children how to graze, you baptize their eyes in your porcelain songs' rays, "God keep you from 'It is too late.'", the most unfair peace over the most righteous war, is the direction I shall take... With your tongue, anointed in olive wine, with your demure, cordial mask, worn upon face divine, turn my head, lead Gods children to the canonizing light, You're beyond incandescent, you make the evenings bright and the mornings white, Paloma de Paz, Paloma de Paz... "If the sky falls there will be pots broken, if the sky falls, hold up your hands, if the sky falls we shall catch larks," if the sky falls, I'll catch you in my hands... Paloma de Paz... Paloma de Paz... "You'll find something that's enough to keep you But if the bright lights don't receive you You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20 |

You are amazing Noah and yes any kind of peace is preferable to the most holy war. Love, Joyce |
