PLEASE consider accepting what may likely be my very last 'challenge'.... to pen a 'write' (in any 'poetic form' of your choice) as to what a "Poet"/"Poetess" is and/or does; etc.??!! my most humble entry was as follows: Thus is a “Poet”.... ....remaining blessed or cursed with a grand-fine heart of magnificent fragility, far too easily lost to rain or tears.... ....remaining love’s stranger just beyond the horizon of ‘never-quite-seen’, as a spectral silhouette fading in a broken dream.... ....remaining hopelessly incredulous as to why men are folding up the sky, for hanging in corporate halls to Nature’s inestimable chagrin.... ....remaining an unanchored spirit lost and forever adrift, (in the depths of words unwritten) where comets weep, and galaxies dance over ruined mountains by starlight, to the music and mystery of "Deep-Time's" eternal schemes.... ....a “Poet” is thus! /pip/Forum103/HTML/002398.html PLEASE POST YOUR 'CHALLENGE RESPONSE' IN (OPEN) POETRY FORUM # 40 AND PROVIDE A LINK TO IT IN THIS 'POETRY CHALLENGE' FORUM! Enjoy! [I know I will dearly LOVE reading your 'challenge responses'!] [This message has been edited by secondhanddreampoet (04-28-2007 07:12 PM).] |
