For Ginger... The Influence of Motion Picture pictures move at a steady, slow or fast rate of a few or more frames per second scripted in a smile like the marriage of golden sunset to the crimsoned west giving birth to an infant dawn embraced by yellow through the lens of the moonlit night while the stars light up the silver screens leaving us mesmerised entrapped by the works hypnotised into a reverie by the lusciousness of art inside art of act after act time after time and beyond the cosmic blues we stay influenced attracted to the jazz like moths to a fire and bees to a hive (lovers in love) to the stories that move us, engage us, enrage us, delight us, often leaving us incomplete like a tale of broken hearts end of a certain story but lacking the completeness of another that would-have-been through the riveting motions of emotions, drama, action, lights all that jazz and all that rock and roll we gawk eagle-eyed like a young man ogling a curvaceous nymph yes, most of us, young or old, are drawn by the magnetism of a starry-eyed nymph known as cinema I only wish it were less violent and more humorous but then it is often a reflection of life and the state we are in yet, for entertainment sake, if fantasy could rule roost only for a little while then perhaps, the rooster on top of the farmhouse might still be interested in providing the wake-up call ----------- this is for Larry's challenge: /pip/Forum7/HTML/000552.html |

Sudhir, You have captured so much of what intrigued Ginger about the movies as a teaching tool. Too cool! A fabulous write, nothing meagre in the least. Thank you. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |
