then and there
meandering in those
'yesterdays were special' dreams,
I stood,
static, feeling dry emotion
with eyes wet, sprinkling
miniature drops
of timelessness-kissed rain
falling through intense gazes
like thoughts grazing aimlessly
on drifting meadows
of lovely snooker-table green

and I felt snookered
by soft echoes of sweet nothings
still ringing
like whispers,
in the insides of my head
like last year's christmas bells

it is almost a year, but
those little jingling sounds
remind me of the emotions
that are held deep inside
in places where only the special
can see...

the common eyes are blind
for they don't see what's present
in the depths of the past
for they don't read the stories
that the inert stones tell

to them angst is just
a form of expression,
good enough for Radiohead to
write about, and the lonely to sing in
'Street Spirit' and 'Karma Police' lines

now I feel like a sheep
searching for my green grass
amongst deserted meadows covered
by sorry sheets of winter snow

probably the coldness is
getting to me,
and the smiles are
getting away,
and my lips once moistened
is now dry and withering
and all the moisturising cream in the world
is useless --
like futility of an over-abused idea

for it was not into my ear you whispered
but into my heart
for it was not my lips you kissed
but my soul

for it was not my face that had the smile
but my heart through my
once smitten eyes...

Wow! Sudhir you did a great job! I loved the flow of this. That challenge was hard and you met it with a wonderful poem. Thank you!

Wow what an excellent piece of poetry Sudhir. Your use of words always amazes me, didn't want to "ditto" Seymour but those were my favorites lines.
