today is bad poetry day....sorry

Picking Poison

A barbed tongue filled with
a poisonous tonic,
Kissing young men, nibbling their
lips, their eyes glazed with passion
soon to be glazed over with death
A hypnotic rythm pulls them closer
Sweet green eyes filled with temptation
Then she strikes, placing heavenly kisses
upon his lips, laughing at how gullable
men can be
Tugging at his lips she lets her poison
tonic seep into his mouth
His body shaking, in his mind he believes
it's all passion, that his body is being
swept away with soul-rendering kisses
She on the other hand is thoroughly bored
for his lips are not sweet and full
but sour and thin, he's gone
giggling, she pushes him to the ground
he believes he died and went to heaven
she wants him to burn away.
he still believes he is alive and can
kiss her again
she waits to seduce the next man in line.

Regina

oooo Regina, I really like this one.
When I read the first line you really had me hanging on for each line. Congratulations, not many people can do that.

Definately a library piece here.

This poem made me shudder with delight!  I haven't done THAT in a long time!
Ooh... i've got goosebumps.
Among the top five on page one right now, in my opinion.
Needless to say, this is library-bound for me as well.
Magnificence.

Ok I read this along with hearing classical music. Just as the poison entered his mouth the climax of the song arised and kept on going until he was pushed to the ground and then a serene violin part concluded....very nicely read by me hehe.
I liked this.....I thought it was a very well written poem Regi....good job and keep them coming!

This one was good for my imagination, I like how it's written    And classical music can be very good, or very bad.  Depends on what you're listening too!

Wow, incredible, dark images here...I could picture the whole scene...and the classical music idea fits very well with this.  Well done!

I was just looking back on my library and saw this piece... thought it should be seen by a few more people.
So here's a nifty little *bump* to page one.
