Diamonds scattered upon a beach so white crystalline sunset glare would burn eyes unseen unaware yet I stumbling merely adjust from green to brown place my fingers to hold a stone so pure so real its depths uncut rivals the eye of life and you would not possibly know what I mean to feel how many years of precious wanting pressure to be reflected in my hand real true free how could you veins of life are easier found than those of forever reflecting light and so the dream like life itself reflects within the diamond a million times a million times it knows nothing else than to shine And I upon this white beach stand surrounded by eternal light "Learning to listen, learning to see. Learning is Power, making me free. Free to believe again, in my Human side...Be a Good Day." Jon Anderson |

I had to smile gently. It was beautiful, was it not? And the diamond that was found could not be taken away Because it was And forever Is And tender fragments are the gift to be carried within A beautiful layer A depth That now and then Shall sparkle in your eyes No matter where you go No matter who you become That diamond shall shine in the depths of you To hold tomorrow we must first be willing to let go of yesterday. |

I enjoyed this, too. Thanks for it. Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

As I also stand upon the white beach - I thank you for the "reflection" of light, that is often needed. Just a wonderfully insightful poem, with beautiful, clear images. Thank you for a wonderful Sunday evening read. ~*~A poet is someone who reads more than they write ~*~ |

Thank you all for your kind words. The inspiration was another's poem. Long ago diamonds were plentiful, unavoidable, with every step, long ago. Again my thanks. "When all hope has left, and you can no longer find a reason to breathe, you will find yourself already dead, murdered by your own dream." |
