Moments Alone I've listened, storing away each syllable for quiet moments. I've coupled my heart to each wish -- taking steps like a late arrival to the matinee, as not to turn your eyes from the screen. The moments you need alone to watch your own life -- finding yourself in the drama. I offer prayers, and pull you close in my meditations -- reminding myself of a course you told me you would take. Your wings, the world once thought as broken -- they stretch in the calm air created by your solitude. I chase the tear to a place of surrender, my vision now clear, my pulse quickened. Soon you will return, revived, renewed -- landing in the want of me. We fold away as night blankets the arbor teeming with life -- a seamless blossom in warm air undisturbed. Robert Joseph ~enb~ |

RJ~ Oh my god, this is GORGEOUS ! I knew there was a reason I couldn't sleep - I think I must have felt this one coming ! 'I chase the tear to a place of surrender, my vision now clear, my pulse quickened. Soon you will return, revived, renewed -- landing in the want of me. We fold away as night blankets the arbor teeming with life -- a seamless blossom in warm air undisturbed.' Just doesn't get much better than that, my friend. So enjoyable. Thanking you - I am. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Bravo. There is no other reply I can muster, this is amazing verse. What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life. Walt Whitman |

Wonderful imagery. I love the visions of lonely angels, they appear so breathtaking. As does your poem. like it much "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me." |

Love it!! sp 'cause I am hanging on every word you say, and, even if you don't want to speak tonight, that's alright, alright with me... |
