It's official. The SCSI hard disk in Artemis needs to be replaced.

I'm still negotiating the when and how long will it take parts, but the forums will be going off-line and will likely remain off-line for most of a day. Stay tuned …

(sigh) Oh Ron, thanksfor the update, be sure to let us know when the replacements will be taking place as I'll be now copying poems from the archives I posted in preparation for the repairments!

Now back to the drawing...errrrr...I mean, writing board!

Thanks for the update, Ron.
I'm liking Nan's idea.
Have candles...have a comfy quilt...have paper and pen.
Who could ask for anything more?

Thanks for the update. I have most of my poems moved already.

Okay. Bummer.

What is life without poetry and adventure?

We're back.

The hard disk was replaced, the programs and data restored, and it doesn't look like we lost a single bit or byte. All things considered, it went surprisingly well.

However, fixing the hard disk problems didn't fix the DNS problems which first prompted my investigation yesterday. Those remain unresolved, and it's quite possible I'll have to take the server and forums off-line later to run further tests. You can probably figure that "later" is going to be at least ten hours from now, though, because that's about how long I expect to sleep.

You deserve a good rest! And rest assured, we will be awaiting the awakening, and the downtime should not keep anyone from writing. Heck, I just bought some paper and a pen, and would be willing to re-learn longhand if I didn't have MS WORD!
Thanks for being 'up and running' 99.9% of the time. Who could ask for more?

Ha Ron, am I a lucky Dutchie.

I didn't notice a thing when the forums went down, because....you're working in my sleeping hours

Now go to sleep, I'll keep watch, because when you're sleeping, I'm awake....at least I should be

Thanks Ron, for all your hard work.
