Dawn's Promise

The tranquil dawn wakes quietly
And whispers ever so gently;
So softly she speaks her promise
Yet promises nothing - but this:
Another day - another chance
To work, to play, to sing, to dance;
To rise and greet the Master's call;
Meet challenges that face us all;
Another day to grow, to love
Be more like Him who reigns above;
For anyone who cares to see
A wealth of opportunity
Arrives with each new dawning day
Be skies quite clear or gloomy gray;
So graciously she gives to all
The rich, the poor, the great, the small;
Without regard to circumstance
She ever gives - another chance.
