Mousekiteer and hubby, Wayne The Country Mouse,
Became this western mouse’s host and hostess.
Taking me in tow, here and there in Ontario
To make sure that I got to see the very “mostest.”

We headed to Lake Huron to visit Kit’s parents,
Riding right on the beach to their cottage home!
Then after an incredible dinner, and some conversation,
Her Dad and I hopped on his Honda to vroom and roam.

What a thrill riding with him to see all the sights,
Learning the history of this lake told by a master no less,
Stopping at landmarks, he told me each story,
I felt truly spoiled I have to confess!

The birds, oh the birds! What a wonderful sight,
Purple Marlins they said that they were swooping by.
From one tall birdhouse to another they soar,
Catching bugs you can’t see with your naked eye.

A walk on the beach, one more time please if I may,
But it soon came to an end with it was a simple goodbye.
Wonderful day, company, and wonderful food.
That beautiful family left a wee tear in my eye.

Oh Sharon...it is so great to read about these places..
especially since it's the area I grew up in and remember so well.
What part of Lake Erie did you go to?
Did you see Port Stanley?
Oooh I get all excited just thinking about it.
Can't wait for my vacation time.
Part three please...

Awww, Sharon ... mom and dad will love this. Wonderful pictures, and I LOVE the writing in the sand too!

Here's a few pictures of Sharon and my dad as they headed out for a tour of Lake Huron, up at Ipperwash Beach and Kettle Point area.

Too funny!  You mean here I have written about the wrong darn Lake???  Should have studied that boring geography at school I guess.

Okay off I will go to fix it and yes, it was a highlight of my trip as my "favorite husband" and I used to have a big Honda Goldwing touring bike as well as dirt bikes, so I really missed the vroom, vroom.

What amazed me more than driving on a beach was those kettles!  They start like a pearl does almost from maybe a tiny rock caught, and they get swished rounda and round, picking up more gravel and sand as they go, and eventually they become these perfectly round big rock balls.  It is a real shame but people steal them from the beaches rather than leaving them for naive people like me

Ooh, I'm so envious!  My wasband and I used to tour around that area on his all-decked-out Interstate. I just loved it!

You look so happy ~ and I am happy for you!

Hugs from Ontario,
Linda
