This Is The Moment ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If there was ever a moment where the dark was darker than death- where the lonely was lonelier than mist of remembering of how we kissed living life only breath by breath this is the moment. ~~~~~~~~~ If there was ever a moment where the cold was colder than Everest- where the hard was harder than stone of the lost road that led back home bearing the grief you chose heaviest this is the moment. ~~~~~~~~~ If there was ever a moment where I needed you just to sit with me- to softly intentionally meet my eyes to touch my sadness ere my demise breath by breath, air of finality this is the moment. ~September 9, 2003~ |

So soft and tender, the words convey an intimacy which is hard to do in mere words. Good poem. |

I think poetry should always be "lifeless" or timeless. Either way we write how we feel, and that is the life of our poetry for an eternity. I call such an event, a fireproof memory a poet who cares |

You know, dear Dixie, while reading it I remembered the feelings it evoked when I read it the first time. It's very very beautiful and well written. Thank you for sharing it once more. Love and hugs. Margherita |
