5738 Body and Unity 07 October 2006 To feel your arms around my waist in body and soul, this way of unity, two in hearts does equal one whole. That place of moist and warmth, where penetration was to spear. A direction of strength, blooded in faith, your beauty to touch and triumphant embrace. Together, in one marbled sculpture of love, in knowing what would be truth, this serum injected. Chromosomes and corpuscles, the birth of a child, an embryo gifted from an egg and sperm Your body changing, where motherhood begins, each breast more fattened in God’s nectar of milk. The mammary of salvation, developed within, twice as much and more, breath to kin. For love was to be in love, natures nakedness stripped away. To feel my arms around your waist, in body and unity made whole. “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” Genesis 3: 16 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
