My lover is a ghost in my mind Oh how I yearn to touch Sending wishes across time and space For the ache is becoming too much Soft kisses from her breath Brush my lips in parted pose Out to the dreamless night My thoughts of her goes My loneliness is measured in miles Sundered from her presence Skin screams for salvation Which pays my penance Burning with desire to melt In the heat of her whisper A caress of a soul’s energy We share in the transfer |

The lover in the mind...how illusive...the ache, apparent. I could feel this. |

I loved this Refugee. Excellent all round but that third verse is now stuck in my head, curse you! I keep muttering it. lol "The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun |

Hauntingly beautiful. The entwine of spirits, thoughts sipped long into the night. |

A thoughtful wow...if your critique button were open, I would slide in a few comments because of the wonderful verse that seemed to lack a beat or two... but what the heck do I know... I write free verse. Well done, Sir. |
