How "ordinary" can a life be as they begin burial proceedings with others left in living limbo. A world distant from the norm suffering the losses from an outsider... Forgiveness is a lesson to be learned as the rest of us wonder the why of it. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

Even here on the other side of the world we are inundated with the images, and we ask why? Your expression resonates the thoughts of many. |

I am going to have to just go to bed and turn off the tv..Lancaster is only an hour from here..and I am sick of listening to events like this..what is wrong with those who live with people who can do this...there have to be signals..they always say what an ordinary person or great father etc etc etc...nothing can be ordinary about someone who does this and I almost put some blame to those who watch silently or pretend not to notice or make themselves blind to these "sick" people... sorry about the rant but between that and the congressman using their past as an excuse makes me feel anger. I agree Maureen. It angers me, too. |

This terrible event happened about an hour's drive from here too. I have often had thoughts about something like this happening where I work, simply because of the remoteness of the building and the few employees working in such a large building. And then I realized that nowhere is completely safe. But to target children? I can't fathom it. |

it is about 2 hours drive from here and emphasizes that we are not safe anywhere... i moved from NJ to PA to get away from the craziness, the chaos.. a quieter life... my heart was shocked... sobered... now saddened reading your post... there are Amish everywhere I live... and they've been gathering in mourning... all little girls... innocence... innocents taken... 3 schools now... now news all over the world... angry? you bet! Justice will be served... ~Moonkist Freedom Now [This message has been edited by Moonkist (10-04-2006 06:23 AM).] |

Thank you for your thoughts. I guess it needs to be "exposed" nationally and now I see even throughout the world...but I feel the media at this point is "using" the situation for filling up their hour of news. They are intruding upon the lives of people who choose to live quietly and although I feel grateful for the people across the world and here donating to help the families and the Amish community, I still feel it is unnecessary to continue to flood and film the area and to tell us about someone who could care less about a human life and what his left behind notes expressed. I work in a school where I was in the "cottage" yesterday (a pleasant name for trailer) We have to keep the doors and windows locked at all times and need a key for the children to go back and forth into the main building. It is a sad time when such freedoms are taken from us because of the "unexpected". Praying for those families and those children still in the hospitals. M |
