War of Words It is ineffective to wage a war using words as there is no bloodshed no defining moment when the death blow has been dealt and the victor stands tall over the fallen for we live in a deaf society too few ears to respond to the cries of those being trod upon a thoughtless society too many minds tire from the exertion of finding a peaceful solution a mute society too many vocabularies are lacking the simplest of words “I’m sorry” rather we act out at the speed of a laser yes these are the times of new when the pen is no longer mightier than the sword. |

This is very very good - I disagree with your assessment it is lacking...the poem flows very well and leaves the reader with a sense of longing..perhaps that is what you felt as well even though you wrote it. Much enjoyed. |

Excellent seraphin. "too many vocabularies are lacking the simplest of words “I’m sorry”" I love theses lines. There is also another part to this those who feel that the inclusion of those words in their vocabulary is license to run roughshod over any one and everything. I poem that really makes you think. You gave me much to ponder with this. *S* However... as someone of little action and too many words... I hope the pen can reclaim its power. *S* |

The power is still at hand, I think it may well be to few hands are willing to wield the power. Thank you, always, for your time and thoughts. Sandra |
