I hate that smile you get
when you know you're right
I hate that "Wanna bet?"
when I'm trying to fight

I hate the way that you
steal the sun from my sky
I hate the way you always
glow till I feel myself sigh

I hate the music you like
and books that you read.
I hate the letters you type
and the attention you need

I hate the way that you
sing along with love songs
I hate the way you always
make me feel that I'm wrong

I hate the cliche and fact
that opposites attract.
I hate the way that
I don't hate you
one bit.
