I’ve seen the tears you’ve cried of bliss,
I’ve seen the smile that is now sadly missed.
It’s like you have lived below the land.
And now you returned with blood on your hands

I want to hold you tight all night
And promise you that everything will be all right.
I pray that everything will change at this instance
And then the world will see your smile shining in the distance.

I feel the need to protect you, every second in the day
But when you get close to me I don’t know what to say.
If you could believe in your tears just like I wish I could do
Then maybe you won’t continue to hurt like me too.

I promise to pick you up wherever you may fall
Because I know it won’t be long til the devil begins its call.
I’ll wipe your tears just like a big sister should
And put you to bed just like mum would.

I promise mum won’t die today,
I promise she will live,
I know this because I can’t stand to see dad say “she’s gone to haven matey, she just couldn’t stay”
I promise she won’t die today,
I will die instead
Because I know you need a mum.
I promise you, Mum wont die today………………
I Will Die Instead.
