5726 Awake to Sleep 29 September 2006 An image was a view a photograph of the heart Where love was faith and amour was semi-attached Two of a kind in one another matched The egg the chicken and how one or the other hatched The princess and the pauper or a case of blind mans bluff For she was strong, really, really tough and he dressed in rags, nothing more than a scruff Rich man, poor man, distance divided the half While still waters run deep and the other awake, another asleep “Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.” 1 Kings. 8: 34 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
