5729 Approaching Yom Kippur 30 September 2006 Approaching Yom Kippur, as to beauty, Careyann and love. A change in repentance, a new dawning, to cleanse the soul. A poet and his princess, some say was not all true. But no one will take away the me in you. This Almighty knows, He knew long ago. A love so triumphant, together, one day at a time to grow. Where difference was same, humble was never to depart A Heavenly Father, a parent above G-d gave her, innocence and respect and her beautiful man, in this magnificent poet, the one she loves. Yom Kippur is possibly regarded as the most important holiday of the Jewish year. Many Jews who do not observe any other Jewish custom will refrain from work, fast and/or attend synagogue services on this day. Yom Kippur occurs on the 10th day of Tishri. (appearing on 01, October 2006) The name "Yom Kippur" means "Day of Atonement," and is a day set aside to "afflict the soul," to atone for the sins of the past year. As to the "books" said in which G-d inscribes all of our names. On Yom Kippur, the judgment entered in these books is sealed. This day is, essentially, a last appeal, a last chance to change the judgment, to demonstrate their repentance and make amends in the eyes of the teachings of Judaism. © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |

I have often spoken of my poems, as being my book of life. Yet been condemned for numbering the pages of that book. Yet each is a child and a journey, that is in each and every way known, indeed a Book of Life. Thank You for reminding me of that, for being my own self, may be different, or unique. But one thing never changes, this book and the words from its pages that it does openly reflect. a poet who cares |
