As the sun shines
vespa on shoulders bare
I feel you there
pressed between the pages
of my mind

as shimmers speak
on whisper winds
I recall the softness
of your laughter

caught in mid-air
when you watched
through crystal skies
as morning lingered
to play in my thoughts

breath suddenly caught

as you covered me
and a new day.
