One Moment Longer |

“One moment longer” I tell myself calmly. “One moment longer, then his voice you will hear.” “Be patient”, I chastise “Just one moment longer” but one moment longer than one moment I fear. For wrapped in those segments Of less than a second. Are hours of worry, Weeks of wonder And doubt. “One moment longer” my mantra of steadying. And not one moment longer Will my mind last without Hearing your voice Absorbing your spirit Caressing each syllable As softly you croon. “One moment longer” is such an eternity one moment longer cannot arrive too soon. |
