Magnolia revealing monologue sitting close to center historical markers captures magical moments observes lives of distance of images close which I press my lips against to feel the brail of moon offering oversized petals bootlegging a pink dawn in a treasure chest of memories life’s southern moments I wander the room of your eyes digesting spring, summer what is important to us you speak of a poise of oneness oh magnolia I’ve felt mid-morning breezes float like animated waters through your thick dark green leaves where white simultaneously lusters today’s dream I’ve seen your father who teaches you to fantasize magnolia I’ve heard you tell your fruit heavy & the size of a fist that there are no hand-outs in this life yet you cradle naked twigs in your arms amazed by your individuality not needing my submission self-belief becomes our buoyancy clandestinely finding & naming the months and when all trees are asleep magnolia.... I vision your long sleeved intimacy whispering against the reflection of night sky steaming foliage magnolia... ballet of depth budding as if every word you passionately believed counted toward effect magnolia... there is wild life beneath my feet metrical poetry among the shadows the world hasn’t changed all that much since a siren laid her cheek along the sweet chest of God magnolia your wife so timid her leaves like silk rippling across the meditating universe serene with roots waiting patiently underground fluttering golden stores overhead carrying the weight of the world perhaps transposed to far away music vowing sabbatical mantras away from wintertime magnolia.... I’ve watched this all swaying on some moonstruck gravel road where wind chimes resonate faith taking me quickly to the breeze of sea even though I'm no longer a child the child will come again deep within the throat of your home magnolia.... your choir of buds never forgets to bloom against my lawn grandfathered & snuggled up close moonflowers tell me a story of life and of love yet to come pacing quietly as philosophy of rains pour down a deep sense of mystery in nature's events for it's own sake magnolia.... I always dream of sea & should legend take me soon then I shall be in voice of lighted aesthetics where closing your eyes feels the smell of devoted prayer curbing motion wedded in pearls of beach and sea of contemporary art shadowed by romantics modeling that consciousness free verse epics magnolia... oh how love seeps in knowing the truth of season... a foolish poetess dreaming poems |

"magnolia" Lee J, Magical write indeed!! And you should stick with the magnolia, 'cause CACTUS could poke your eye out. (Then you would be known as cacti-girl). (or one-eyed-Lee)... ![]() See Ya! JL ![]() |

Lee~ 'bootlegging a pink dawn' Oh oooh ... you've many, many a one-lined wonder throughout the all of this~ 'I vision your long sleeved intimacy' 'I shall be in voice of lighted aesthetics' Well, I could just go on and on handpicking gems that you have polished to poetic perfection~ What a beautiful word-necklace~ I adore these thoughts of yours~ *Huglets* ![]() ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

quote: Reading you means to experience that subtle tremor of creative impulse, as if invited to fall into the "poetic foolishness" and let the thoughts flow and manifest in ... a dreamy perceptivity ... Fantastic! Love, Margherita ![]() |

Magnolia is one of my favorite sounding words. It has a devious sound to it. Nicely done. Once you are truly insane, it’s all picnics with Kafka after that. See, it’s the process of going crazy that you gotta worry about. |

This is absolutely gorgeous, Lee. I was transported to a time when I was small and agile and I would climb and hide behind the blossoms that were almost as big as my head... A wonderful write lady! ![]() |

This is one of the lovliest poems I've read. Absolutely perfect in its imagery, and flow. I thank you for the pictures. Sandra |
