I’ll choke through the bloody sermons of truth As I battle the clouds that have overcast in my head I choose to be living; I’d be better off dead The only thing preventing me from shedding these tears, Is the tolerance for pain I’ve built up all these years The numbness I feel dulls everything away, I’m cursed by the gods as I kneel down to pray Forgiveness is hardest when only you know the truth A secret so deep; a worry so loose Don’t hide me Don’t hate me , Don’t let me fade away You know the inconvenient truth , It burns in your brain But even your regret won’t take away my pain… For sweet summer days will turn swiftly to fall, And then very soon with the winter I’ll brawl… |

This was deep and searching...I think as poets or constant thinkers, we eventually find our way to the "truth". |
