Rewrite Repost: Popinjay At times I feel a popinjay In a supercilious way For spreading sage upon the bread Of saying things that I have said Who really knows the truth of things? Or hears the song another sings Each melody a song of one That will not stop until it’s done In fact I’ve trouble with my own I hear it in a monotone And often bleach it in the sky To paint it like a butterfly There it hears the hum of views Whispered in the wind of hues That washes me in gyres suds To bubble off the mires mud A popinjay of word and strand Washing music through times sand |

I will try not to be a popinjay because there are so many things that I need to know. No one likes a vain talkative person. |
