    When velveteen clouds
        like heavenly shrouds
            cloak the sky at night;

    When darkness surrounds
        and confusion abounds
            longing for the light;

    When pain in your heart
        tears it apart
            till love seems all but gone;

    Faith shows its power
        for the darkest hour
            is just before the dawn.
