Priceless, the Value

A tear falls, uncontrolled
so much concealed in that tiny drop
the what ifs crystal clear
reminiscent of another year
gone by

So tenderly pressed, lips
to those memories
dedication held to fingertip-touch
unrelenting to faith held
knowing

Today is just a ripple
in tomorrow's plan
where the masquerade
has played its final ball
in countdown

Because some things are just...
meant to be.
