WHEN LIFE IS THE DARKNESS
BETWEEN NOTHING AND DEATH

my father sleeps
like he is practising
for something

there’s a perforated line
on my brother’s wrist

a young woman
asked me
to carry
her tears

I disturbed
the animals
by pacing
in the forest

I destroyed
the stars
by closing my eyes
