Just Another Phase

I still have them, pictures
memorized moments
when you defined my days.

Time shared in learning, each,
unspoken strength, intimacy
awakened by your stay.

Nothing seems to heal,
to take away the pain
that working towards a future plays.

Except for unasked
that touch of hold that can
breathe life into time's way.
