Rewrite

I feel her Still

I see her through a veil of years
A mist, a cloud, a hail of tears
I see her in a childish trance
And often with a sparrows glance

Sometimes a trivial in pass
Sometimes within the looking glass
Sometimes the warmth of odors smell
She lives with me in every dwell

She haunts the breeze that cools my face
She lives in every living grace
Holds my hand when I am ill
And touches me till I am still

Hover’s o’er the space I live
Giving all that she can give
Touching hints that stay in gray
Long gone, but still my mind do stay

She’s my first love as no other
Yes, my caring, saintly mother

As well you should, and always will.
God bless you, Sy
