T’was the day after Christmas
When all through the house
Came the sound of wailing
By my stressed out spouse
She screamed in frustration
“Just look at my hair
And there’s a party tonight
But I’ve nothing to wear!”
There were boxes of clothes
Sitting under the tree
But she plaintively sobbed
“They’re not right for me”
Now mind you I’d spent
2 days at the mall
Wearing out shoe leather
Selecting them all
I’d written down sizes
She gave me last year
And since I’m color-blind
I played it by ear
I selected a blouse
That I thought was red
But I found out later
It was orange instead!
To make some points
I threw in some bling
(She’d always wanted
A huge diamond ring)
It was Cubic Zirconia
The best money could buy
I can’t understand
Why she started to cry!

Women are always
A mystery to me
I’ve given up guessing
What to put under the tree
So next year I vowed
To the mall I won’t treck
Instead I’ll give her
A nice big check
While she’s out shopping
Growing weary and lame
I’ll be having a beer
And watching the game!

Thanks Seymour...hope you had a nice holiday.

I pity you guys having to understand us women...while we understand you men perfectly!  What's not to understand...all you need is a beer and the remote to make your perfect world!

Hi Titia, Happy New Year!

I'm partial to any color...it's the NUMBER printed on it that melts my heart!

Thanks Lee...the thing about smiling is: it's great excercise for your face...keeps the wrinkles away!

Happy New Year.
