You are a part of who I am
No matter what we do
Because we share a special part
I thank you for this too
The chance to share her pleasant smell
The beauty in her eyes
The smile we share when she appears
And giggles at our sight
She holds my heart with such a grip
It pains me so to see
That all that’s left of what we share
Is less than it should be
The years will pass and she will grow
And hopefully in time
The presence of our love will show
And this time not deny
The inner glowing temperament
I’ve felt here all along
That touches my heart everyday
As if it were in song
So here we share this wonderment
This beauty of a child
And with it all the joy was meant
To keep us close within
