.  A simple gesture, yes.. your hand in mine ~ mine in yours and yet no steel chain was ever stronger- I love you. The accidental touch of our fingertips.. and when your kiss left a song of joy on my lips I knew.. I loved you. My love for you is the silent invisible word between these lines speaking itself into a quiet kiss... whispering, I love you The love we give to one another blends the elements of our lives like beautiful music.. gently intertwining melodies as grand and timeless as forever. . |

I'm not a big fan of "love poems" but I found the imagery, especially the reference to chains and such a break within the romanticism of the poem. Though it is apparent to be a poem meant for love, there is also the sense of caging that can be heard by the repetition of the last sentence in each stanza. |
