sitting here
listening to music
carrying me back to long ago times
forgotten places
echoes of my MISERY
from a .45 to SILHOUETTES
PHOTOGRAPHS AND MEMORIES
shot through the heart
do you really know
WHAT IT'S LIKE?
ABRACADABRA
KISS YOUR PAST GOODBYE
oh how it's AMAZIN
when you see an ANGEL
it's just the BEST OF INTENTIONS
that I have for you
keeping me from the BIG BANG BABY

I'm doing my best
at BREAKING THE HABIT
I just have to remember to BREATHE
cause in the end it's all CALIFORNICATION
in the CITY OF NEW ORLEANS
and I'm CRAWLING on a CRAZY TRAIN
EIGHT MILES HIGH and I'm FALLING
through FAKE PLASTIC TREES with GEORGIA ON MY MIND
oh I've GONE CRAZY HANGING BY A MOMENT
HOT BLOODED
I'm JADED
cause JESUS IS ON THE MAINLINE
and it's a LONG WAY DOWN
and LIFE AIN'T ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL
at MIDNIGHT IN MONTGOMERY
NOT A DAY GOES BY
without SCAR TISSUE

SOBER
STANDING OUTSIDE THE FIRE
looking for SOMEBODY TO LOVE
DISARM the TOY SOLDIERS
THE THRILL IS GONE
WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE
but it is CUMBERSOME
and it needs a SOUL TO SQUEEZE
WHERE DID YOU SLEEP LAST NIGHT
with a WHYSKEY LULLABY
when NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

Your reflections are making me nostalgic. Ah, yes, I remember most of those songs ~ and what was going on in my life when they were popular.
