What makes us indifferent
To the similarities of one another
Why is it that we can see all that is wrong
but never that which is right
are we so blind to all that we have before us
that the obvious becomes  blurred
contemplating what we want
but never really achieving what we need
at what cost do we stop and restart our lives
thinking what we will get is any better than all that we have
Maybe the thought or hope is enough that we go forward
looking for whatever it is we feel we are missing.
Missing, that is the main idea. Is what we don’t have missing
or should we see that it’s not what we don’t have that counts
but those things that we do have in our lives that matters.

I think I have the answer to ONE of these:

contemplating what we want
but never really achieving what we need

I think, in my own case, what I want always feels like a NEED--until I get what I want, then I NEED something else.

crap.

I'm tard.

I like this one alot Rich--it's loose, it flows, it's from the heart--

free verse suits you and this sort of stream of conscious thing from you is very nice.

Happy Solstice. (Kiss a witch.)

I wish mine were.

My new one doesn't seem to be serving me very well.

It's good to see you again...and I think I very much need to read this several times before I say anything else.

there was a point that I was engulfed in what I didn't have and it only made me miserable

so I finally began to focus on what I did have (after a drinking problem and almost losing everything)

made me a much happier person
