A Dreamer Spirit Betrayal my love, my feelings not thoughtful; I have known you so before, But now you shake my branch— ‘tis reaching far and close to breaking— to fall my leaves of reason, of lightly colored life. The son of life is I, so such passions Dwelled do scald my arms And aim concentrations towards my dying. Lo, you do change me with your changing, Yet I would break such branches— Grown stretched and strained—to be happy, To be loved. For I feel you the sun; my reaching hands— Though extented exuberantly— Shall be never near your loves embrace. To all lovers’ distained and affections disjointed. I am the two-toed wanderer |
