Another tolkien inspired Song:

"dawn of the Nine Riders"

Far,Far beyond grim mountains gates
The witches tower, Morgul awaits,
Till silent nights when Nazgul cry,
And from the depths the Witch King rides.

Throughout the land, from the days of olde
A legend was sown and tales were told,
Of bloodstained fields and battered walls,
Of these wretched souls from golden halls.

The Nine Shadows stretch across the land,
Rings held high, swords in hand.

Born of high blood, betrayed by greed
The spoiling of men's most noble breed,
Over centuries through hatred grows,
This blackend host of tortured souls.

The sound of fel steeds are bearing toward
The head of the throng, of the feral horde,
Into kingdoms of men the Witch king is riding,
All that lives, breathes, and grows are dying!

The nine shadows stretch across the land,
Rings held high swords in hand.

...the battle cry is echoing,
...up off the mountains high,
...In flaxen fields the children play,
...as darkness fills the land,
...doors are barred and windows drawn,
...for the war of the rings is at hand,
...A young boy struggles to lift a sword,
...as old men gather near,
...the maidens go to prepare the beds,
...and make prayers for the dead.

Dark minions...
marching...
through the shadows of a pale moon.

The feral horde...
By chaos bring...
The comming curse of Angmar's king.

Nine shadows...
Stretch across the land...
Rings held high swords in hand.

Thanks for the interest. I particularly love to write like that, tell a story. Tolkien has always set my imagination on fire.
