Considering

Considering you're not around
I might try clumsily to move on
considering the absence of sound
I may alight my heart with song

Aligning frightening dreams with you
considering the company I keep
it's a wonder I'm not even through
with considering
and staring in the mirror at my own soul, asleep

I just can't get beyond you
there's no way I could make do
no no, no kind of screaming fear
it's amazingly quiet here
considering

Pondering the moment not gone
I might try to reach for the phone
comiserating, hating the coming dawn
I can't find you, the path is overgrown

No, I just can't get away from this,
the lingering air you breathed into a kiss
oh no, it's a stretch to come near
to the beauty you have left here
considering

Reminded of my choices that lead you away
withering and considering, there I'm defined
by the constantly correcting replay
words not carefully considered
the wary winter all alone within myself, I'm resigned

Considering you're not around
I might not make it to the dawn
rescinding my heartspeak sound
but say you haven't yet moved on
and you'll accept my surrender
please just consider it

Ineteresting use of repetition in different contexts. It give the poem resonance and depth.

a good commitee can decimate communication.
