“Run Dementia Men!”

'A rant for the everyman'

Man Butcher,
red meat pharmacist,
this brain has red on it!
Me mind in mental cavity feels like
Russian army trapped in Stalingrad.
But damn Uncle Sam stole my army boots.
Goes along the lines of how
Communists like to take Cuba in 1960.

Woke up last night screaming:
“Mother, me mother!
Get this damned shiatsu off my leg.”
Right here sure feels taut
claustrophobic in the idiotic box.
Trying to flee from life?
You run for pleasure, I march dimes.
Life in that way is too funny,
children scare, and people scream.

His father had no willy
but isn’t iron just a metal too?
Juxtaposition incision
made by an intern at a free health clinic.
Like the baby-growing factory
that ran out of test tubes
but had plenty of soda…
Coke-can baby sings bubbles on the stove
“The Brackets will brace!”

I’m a plethora, damn it,
Charles Dickens skilled!
Sat on me couch watching
the Skittles eat M&M’s.
Watching
Dementia Men fight those memories
“We ate no pills, we like the frantic.”

Once in a happier place,
my dentist was an orthodontist
and he had something to say
more important than sexual innuendo
about an ode to Charlie Rose.

You stepped on yourself,
at which point the air spat you out.
We need to come to the realization
that morons run this world too.
Maybe so, I might have fathered myself,
but I still hate the sperm donor!
Run Dementia Men, is to what I say,
cause this life and these times
will constantly reflect
the ratchet set I never got.

And I said to the devil, "You better leave my spleen alone you bastard."

I'm inhaling your words right now and I will need some time to process them, but wow they have an impact.

a good commitee can decimate communication.

I hate it when Kethry steals my words
away from me...but she is so right.

WOW...there's a whole lot of history
in here, and some that needs some brushing up on,
just so I have my ducks in that danged
proverbial row.

I saw a note where you wish you could write
poetry like another poet does.  Guess what?

I think you've got your stuff together,
just as is.

And I thank God for that!

Thanks Kethry, just be careful of that second-hand smoke, lol.

Well, that might be the nicest thing you could have said to me Karilea. It really means a lot to me. Sometimes I wish I could write things a little more understandable. People don't always "get" what I write. I sometimes don't even know what I write, lol. Thanks again

I'm with Karilea,
Ed

it's not about "getting" it
intellectually

it's about "getting" it emotionally
and maybe even
at the cellular level
