Left To Pick Up The Pieces

Having continued to give
Becomes the same scenario
Others come and get their fill
Take what they need then go

Having a heart on a platter
Served love that remains true
So many takers had entered
Are you waiting in the queue

Another piece of my heart
So many come along to chew
Still the ones that enter within
Want their cake and eat it too

Left to pick up the pieces
Something I had been used to
Since takers ignore of the fact
They forget I have feelings too
