The air speaks, you know, in a manner quite unknown
like the trees when they stand judgmentally upright
and it tells me, glory be, that two ends are coming in
and joining in a circle around everlasting love.

First the tears for beauty’s there - moving, moving, moving,
and then the sigh that inculcates dreams and fantasies
into the deepest, strangest, need that goes beyond desire
in a woman reconciled to the ways of mortal life.

And the reach to believe there is truth in the feel
stretches and enlarges the boundaries of a mind
until energy unleashed seeks a similar release
for there is beauty there - moving, moving, moving.

‘tis a wandering minstrel, lover, that plays this deepest need
and entwines the strings of mind around a mystery
until death’s dark shadow bares his fangs
and snaps the cord tied flesh to soul!

"until death’s dark shadow bares his fangs
and snaps the cord tied flesh to soul!"

~ powerful ending! (& very creative!)

with love,

Thanks, Linda.  Perhaps creativity is a way of staying sane - helps me!

Helen, this was outstanding, and worded so magically yet, so honestly and precise in rhyme.

this...

into the deepest, strangest, need that goes beyond desire
in a woman reconciled to the ways of mortal life.

And the reach to believe there is truth in the feel
stretches and enlarges the boundaries of a mind
until energy unleashed seeks a similar release
for there is beauty there - moving, moving, moving.

Thank you so much LeeJ, Roniece, and MsSO!  I think I just tell about things as they are or were and if it turns out to be "outstanding" then it's because the "event" is or was of such a quality.

Helen

you're so modest
but your talent is great

if I had chosen a favorite line
I would have chosen them all...
