A Day of Guile On tired wings and random day O’er sweeping lands and daffodils play While coffee whispers sate my mind I tried to see beyond my blind This basic aromatic fuel And alchemy as my tool I picked a rose of odors best To learn its glory of divest And with its nectar sweet of stir I pestle all I could defer To serve the aching of my soul Since sanctuary was my goal Forgive me if I pass you bye A youthful field is not my lie I seek surcease a mind of peace An addendum to add my lease If ever signed this lease of tongue Then I plead I was much to young |
