We have been there often
walking hand in hand

tiptoeing on clouds
while dancing slowly
to whisper music

which only angels can hear

so soft the sounds
that brings us near;

oh so close
to those pearly gates

never entering

but rather,
we wait

patiently

knowing full well
that the rain has yet
to come

before stepping into
heaven     and beyond.
