Feel, love I can already see your face falling from your usual startled ideals. I should be feeling triumph, or guilt, just anything at all, but if you’d look closer- come closer, love, I wouldn’t know you- you’d see the way I’ve been going numb. It’s been a while since you’ve noticed, but I’ve found that a love built simply for the sake of feeling- a fire lit only so we can watch it burn yields nothing but enough smoke to choke us. Breathe again, love, the air isn’t mine maybe seeing you draw life in will jump start my heart; pain- with the pain I should be feeling for you, but really for me. Pull my heart from me, love set it on fire; it doesn’t want to burn and I’m still choking- I wanted to breathe from you, love, I wanted to feel. Come closer, love, you wouldn’t know me I can already see your face. let me see you, let me use you put out the fire to feel the cold- I want you to feel, I wanted to feel- Wish I could stay, love, wish I could stay. ...it's always sudden... |
