Hope some of you like this. Result of a restless night.. again. Please let me know what you think, good or bad.

Every sunset with you,
meant a sunrise alone,
but we watched from our windows,
and that was enough.

First glimpse of the sun,
would always burn my eyes,
but with your absence,
it seems the feeling stays.

The weatherman's wrong,
November's never been this cold.

And I'll wait for the clocks,
make a wish,
broken promise to a broken toy,
empty wish for an empty heart.

The wishes pile up,
you can see it in my face,
but not in my smile,
that play's ancient history.

Feel free to return,
I'll put on a farewell show,
you can be the narrator.

It does seem that this November
has been reflective in the
wee hours...for many.

Well done, Deja.
