Lichi

I watched a movie
in which a young woman
was obsessed with collectable pigs.
Her husband suggested
that she should rotate her pigs,
leaving four or five on display at a time.
In dismay, she said all of her pigs
would remain on display,
each pig affectionately named,
and no matter how big or small,
she would allow equal honors
of display for them all.
Within her heart she wished that,
with her pigs he wasn't so alarmed.
The pigs reminded her of a secure
childhood on her familys pig farm.

Amazing, the things that give us comfort
and no one else understands at all.

Thank you LeeJ, nakdthoughts and Magnus for the nice responses...
I think people take hold of objects and elevate them to importance when they are missing the feeling of love and acceptance...James
