We would fight it, yes,
but some acknowledge the need
of the cycle of life,
perhaps not by scythe or sickle,
especially to the young,
still...

we would ward if off, if we could,
if for no other reason
than the pain it leaves behind.

sometimes, tho, death is a white feather...

and oh my but my friend has your spirit too--all machinery removed as of noon yesterday, and she is still going. It's 3 to 6 breaths an hour, on one lung, but this lady is one of those ladies who is accustomed to a good fight--one of our steel magnolias.

A kindred spirit, indeed, eh?

You are so right....death is an angel, like a tiger is a bluebird. Sometimes you simply say what others simply....miss.
