In Luminas It is after the longest night when we have stumbled out of the fetal coil, speculating whether we can walk against the pain again knowing no one really missed us because we were functional even during the blitz and break that is when We unite with one another, during these sorely ragged times, without notice, nor fanfare, no introduction, no excuses, for we know, inherently, softly, retrospectively, that “even the muses need to heal,” and it is then, upon the taste of the quiet touch, when the gift of sister love still lingers after the thinking of you that we can begin to write, again. ~*~ To those who reach out, and respond, at exactly the right time, and for all of the best reasons. © Karilea Rilling Jungel November 13, 2006 |

through this long walk, of silence and grief, I knew though it is a solitary path, I was not alone, for by these words, you walked each step with me. Though I was tired, and with seemingly nothing to say, you are a friend whose welcome mat was always out... you are this poem, it is not just about poetry and poets, it is about you and your heart... you are beautiful lady |

Yes, these beautiful words do reflect you perfectly, because you do reach out so lovingly all the time. And it is uplifting to know that there is CONTACT between hearts ... sometimes as if there were truly heavenly "conductors" of our thoughts who steer them in the right direction ... Beautiful! Love, Margherita |

Many, many, times, you have touched hearts that in turn, looked up and smiled. Wishing this back to you tenfold. |

I sincerely apologize for misleading anyone; I did not intend for this poem to be a reflection of myself, but rather, those of other poets who get past the pain in their days, and reach out, touching someone that they really don't know, other than via these beautiful blue pages. I am so very often inspired by others' fortitude when things seem "the worst" or "the blackest time" of their lives. I marvel at what some go through, just to be able to come to grips of writing their thoughts down, now and then, whether prosaically or poetically. It never goes without saying that when I think I'm depressed, there is somewhere in Passions that I can find a bright moment, a cheery voice in the depth of what [should/could/would] be their own depression...and yet the stalwart continue on. The mothers don't quit, the fathers don't give up, the doers, do, and the thinkers, [well, they argue a lot!] think. And there's always some bright corner in here. So, lest it be left unsaid, this poem was not about me, but about, and for, all of you. As it should be. and thank you for reading. |

yes I do so agree, with this I think you write the very heart of PIP, which is the readers, the poets who lift each other up even in the face of personal hardship, and you are the example that we strive to be...though you write about 'us' we look with eyes of love and see 'you' |

Grand poem by a most fine lady! and wonderfully dedicated to: "To those who reach out, and respond, at exactly the right time, and for all of the best reasons." and: When the 'dark wolf'(depression) is at my door...I have, (on many occassions recently) found...exactly as Karilea put it: "there is somewhere in Passions that I can find a bright moment, a cheery voice"... I profoundly thank her and all of you in this lovely 'circle of friends' that the above quote is so perfectly true! |
