Dirt Clods and the Moon in Day

A minute ago or was it a day
sky cut in half the moon to say
"see me sun within your time
nothing is lost even in rhyme"

And all the while I thought
the sky was a secret I just caught
with some midnight magic draught
just to take my thoughts away
from the dirt my path holds anyway

I watched that lazy thumb print pale
even exclaimed a “look see” to him
who nonchalantly took my grin
only to return to dig and plant
his own song for spring’s transplant

And so my Sunday walked through time
and built steeples of another kind
each to each his own blessing strong
in some sort of moon-earth sing along

wonderful 'write' from a grand lady!
[...and, I've been waitin' a long time for someone to write a poem 'bout: the Moon in Day....could never quite 'do it' myself!

Thank you, Paul....this one is far too good to have missed.

Speaking of which, so are you, Martie; I'm proud to know you....and words like these say why.
