Die Another Day The Adventures of Tom ‘Turkey’ Bond Remembering his life as A silly movie vignette Tom Turkey Bond reflected As he pondered being ‘et’ He started out a white fluffy bird All legs and neck everywhere Passing puberty brought colors To his feathery silken hair Not everyone would understand His strutting attitude Was just because his pride and joy Was the length of his red snood He heard a corn kernel drop A hundred meters away Which contributed a lot to The amount poor Tom did weigh He thought he was a favorite With the farmer and his wife They petted and coddled him Tom thought this was the life! One night on the Riley Report Tom heard the latest news Turkey Day was coming soon it was his life he was about to lose! Stealthily in the middle of the night Tom climbed the farmyard fence Then trotted fast as his legs would go So he wouldn’t be ‘past tense’ He found a boat and climbed aboard Then sailed down south a bit Til he spotted bright blue notice ‘No hunting without a permit’ Tom jumped from the boat and ran To the nearest barn he could see He threw himself upon the ground Begging for pity and mercy The rancher’s wife, a good looking lass Gathered poor Tom in her arms She tended to his appetite And wooed him with her charms Tom knew he had found a home Where he would never come to grief When he learned the rancher and his wife Would eat nothing but prime beef |

LOL! This is very cute. You always were one of the best. I was just thinking about you the other day. Wondering where you were. Hope you are doing okay. |

deVine~ This is adorably done~ Er, or as Tom would say ... quite the poetic gobble~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Since it's getting closer and closer to Thanksgiving I thought I'd bring out the 'turkey' poems. |
