Awaniski Uwa Unole
Whispering Wind

~*Marge Tindal*~

To grasp the breeze in whisper
is to elongate the sound
of wisdom in words billowing
across the hallowed ground~

To know the voice of Spirits
sent wafting on gentle surround
is to know the beauty of the Ancient's
touching softly to this ground~

Word-blessings befall me
thus, in knowing from whence they come
I spread the voices of the past
to this day before me sung~

In beads of beauty they portray
the dance of elders of that day
A day when all the world was at peace
in the bounty of love .. in never-cease~

I may not know the walk of man
but this one thing I know
out of the whispering winds
I'll go as far ... as I dare go~

Unto the hills of peace, in search
of ancestral happenings of the past
knowing that in bringing forth the messages
the legends that went before will last~

I do what I can do
I've only to listen and quill
the ancient voices messages
that come to me at will~

~*~

A gentle Sunday morning breeze
brought beauty of words ...
seeking a place to be heard~

And your words gently fell onto this page Marge.
How beautiful this is~how much the share is appreciated.

I was 'met' (unfortunately) by a most
dark n' glowerin’ face of mornin’ here in ‘Appalachia’ dispelled only by the beauty and light of your whispering words
in wind-born voices from the past....

Grand 'poesy'!......

Marge/sis....the wind, and the breeze are lucky to have a conduit to bring their voice to word.

It appears, Dear Willow, that you have used a White Feather from the free-spirited eagle to write this whispering wind of a write!

Dear Marge, how precious those whispers by the elders, how precious their wisdom, how precious THE POET!

I will save this, to enjoy it also in the future.

Love and hugs.

Wonderful Marge, made even more so because I spent this past Saturday at the annual Traders Village Pow Wow in Houston, Texas. A day of dancing and music by various tribes, a contest actually, and eating frybread tacos(yum!) They also had very nice tribute to America's Veterans - it was Veterans Day after all.  And it's funny, the Native Americans celebrated Vets. Day - had any vet that wanted to walk out on the parade ground and "walk/dance" with the Indians, yet, I can't remember when Americans in general EVER celebrated a Native American Day.

But we know where the heart truly resides, don't we.
